Recently when I was on a shoot for Land O' Lakes, I witnessed a story that really hit home for me. Food insecurity has never had a place in my life but when my first child was born was the same time I made a career jump from a salary with benefits to a full time freelancer that was lucky to bring home $400 a month. Hearing the sack pack program from small town of Hull, IA, talk about packaging 120 bags a week for the children in the community blew my mind. Whats even more incredible is that the people behind the Sack Pack Program are all volunteer based and have devoted their time to help these unfortunate children and families.
